End Homelessness with Nest mission
Emergency Motel Stay
For the homeless who are sick, injured, or discharged from the hospital to the street, we provide their basic needs, such as food, gas, clothes, medicine, transportation, etc. In addition to that, we also give them a motel stay for their recuperation. Sometimes, we respond to the requests of local agencies such as South Snohomish County Cold Weather Shelter, Neighbors in Need, Verdant Health Commission, JKF Hygiene Center, Hope Foundation/Esther's Place, and Advocates Recovery Services. Nest Mission has helped 470 cases of people and families stay at motels for 1,788 nights ($95,603) as of 12/31/23. Anyone who wants a motel voucher must have a medical document from the hospital or doctor. A half percentage of people who stayed at the motel through our program have been related to substance use disorder(SUD). For someone who needs long-term care, we arrange for her or him to stay at the recovery housing with the cooperation of Advocates Recovery Services.
Nest Mission has been helping the homeless who are ready to move in through the housing navigator or case manager of local agencies. We support their first rent or deposit.
