Tuesday Soup Drive 17: Chicken veggie soup @ the Free Showers

Today a pastor’s wife has cooked a pot of delicious soup and served 30 people from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Still half of the soup is left and our people keep coming.

Along with the soup, we have handed out sleeping bags for three people and heat base layers (tees and pants) for 14 people. Motel vouchers were given for a lady who was so exhausted and mentally down, and a guy whose right hand was injured and soaked in the water to such worst condition. He wanted to talk to me about his issue. However, I couldn't stay longer because I had another appointment with one of our friends who cannot come to the place. So I asked him to see me tomorrow at noon at the motel lobby. I was glad to see that this friend has opened his heart to share his story with me. Usually, our people wouldn’t tell their story to anyone, except someone whom they trust. We also have provided socks, hand warmers, neck warmers, and sanitary packs, etc. Thanks pastor Israel for being with me today. Praise the Lord!​
